What we collect when you use proindies.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Written to be read.

The short version

  • We only collect what you choose to send us: a form, a booking, a message.
  • Analytics cookies load only if you click Accept. Decline, and none are set.
  • We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

Who we are

Pro Indies is a web, app, AI and growth agency based in Jaipur and Sikar, Rajasthan, India. We run proindies.com and decide how personal data collected through it is used. That makes us the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act), and the controller for visitors covered by the EU or UK GDPR. Questions about this policy go to hello@proindies.com.

What we collect and why

Contact and project forms

When you send a contact form or project brief, we collect your name, company, email, phone number, project details, launch timeline and budget range, plus which form you used and when. We use them to reply, prepare a proposal and follow up on that conversation. The form sends them from your browser to a Google Apps Script that adds a row to a private Google Sheet only our team can open.

Booking a call

The booking calendar is provided by Orufy Bookings. What you enter there, such as your name, email and chosen time, goes to Orufy to schedule the call and is shared with us. Orufy's own privacy policy also applies.

Email, phone and WhatsApp

If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you send, including your contact details. WhatsApp is run by Meta, and its own terms and privacy policy apply to messages sent through it.

The chat assistant

The chat on this site runs entirely in your browser and answers from pre-written content. Nothing you type in it is stored or sent to us or to any AI service. If you choose to continue on WhatsApp or email, that app opens with your question filled in, and it is only sent if you send it.

Free website audit and project estimator

When you run the free Leak Check, the web address you enter is sent from your browser to Google PageSpeed Insights, which tests that public page and returns the results. The project estimator works out its range in your browser. If you ask us to send you results or pass an estimate on with your brief, we receive what you enter and treat it like a form enquiry.

Analytics, only with your consent

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks on buttons and links, how far you scroll, approximate location (city or country), and device and browser type. Clarity also produces heatmaps and replays of how pages are used, and by default it masks what you type into form fields. We use this only to improve the site, with no advertising features. If you click Decline, or make no choice, these tools don't load at all.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver and protect the site, under GitHub's privacy statement. Fonts, images and videos are served from our own site.

Cookies and local storage

These are only set after you click Accept:

NameSet by and what it's forLasts
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics: tells visits and visitors apartUp to 2 years
_clckMicrosoft Clarity: recognises a returning browser1 year
_clskMicrosoft Clarity: links page views into one visit1 day

Your Accept or Decline choice itself is saved in your browser's local storage (pi-consent) for 12 months, so we don't ask on every page. The Orufy booking calendar may use cookies of its own that it needs to work.

You can change your mind at any time with (also at the bottom of every page). Declining removes these cookies from this site.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the site and our business, each under their own terms:

  • Google: Sheets and Apps Script (enquiries), Analytics, PageSpeed Insights
  • Microsoft: Clarity
  • Orufy: call bookings
  • Meta: WhatsApp, if you message us there
  • GitHub: website hosting

These providers may store data outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. We may also disclose data where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and bookings: as long as we need to respond and follow up, and generally no more than 24 months after our last contact. If you become a client, for as long as we work together and as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Analytics: no longer than 14 months, within each tool's retention settings.
  • Your cookie choice: 12 months, after which we ask again.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct, complete or update it.
  • Erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. This doesn't affect anything done before.
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
  • Raise a grievance with us and get a response.

Email hello@proindies.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we aim to reply within 30 days. If you aren't satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Visitors in the EU and UK

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies, and on steps you ask us to take before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, for the details you send us. You also have the right to object to or restrict our use of your data and to receive it in a portable format. Where data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on our providers' safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. You can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Children

This site is meant for businesses and isn't directed at children. Under the DPDP Act a child is anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect their data, and if we learn that we have, we delete it.

Security

Access to enquiry data is limited to the team members who need it, and we use the security features of the tools we rely on. No website is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive data such as ID numbers or financial details through our forms.
